UPDATE on Avery-Pediatricians office called late this evening. The Pediatrician herself called the original surgeon, that did Avery's GI Tube/button,and he IS going to see her. It won't be for a couple more weeks but she isn't throwing up, yesterday or today. She is still not digesting much but at least some. I told the school nurse I only gave her half (4oz) every 4 hours and she seemed to do better with the digestion. The nurse did that at school today and she said everything went well...Did I also mention that my daughter and SIL bought a house and was suppose to move in soon? All this will be happening about the same time, but it can't be helped. The paperwork says May 10th but the people that have the house asked for May 30th when school is out. They said if they could stay they would have her brick floors resealed. Ashley knows the people and agreed, since they were in no hurry to move out of the place they have. Now with this with Avery, Ashley said she would like to come home from surgery to the new house and recover there, not be in the middle of a move. The people will probably be okay with it, because they have their other house, but her floors may not get resealed. Stressful, hectic times, but things are moving forward even if it is at a slow pace for our girl...

I was going to write and ask how Avery was doing today, but it's been a bit hectic here for me. I'm so thrilled that the specialist is going to get to see her asap. And to top it off a new home to move into! Wow, your poor daughter - I do hope she is getting lots of rest - she needs it. Prayers continuing for Avery and your whole family Toogie. God is in control. Love Chris

Chris, I know Ashley doesn't get the rest she needs, nor Grayson, and because of Avery she has cut back her working days. In the back of my mind, I always think that she needs to take better care of herself, don't want cancer coming back...please Chris yes, keep continuing Avery in prayer, she is so poor. I didn't realize just how thin her legs are (its been winter and wearing pants all the time), I cried...On the bight side, Avery was happy yesterday, probably because she got a little food, but her aide said she laughed and laughed, at the kids yesterday when they were playing.

I know things are always changing and there will be better times, just have to be patient. As long as she can get some food, I feel better and I know she does for sure. I just wish she could digest more food, as she really needs it. Thanks for the prayers for her.-Toogie

It sounds like you have found the best way to feed Avery at this time. But I know it is going to be very long slow days for you until she is seen by the surgeon. My prayers for a quick resolution to this so Avery can get the nutrition she needs. And a smooth move for your daughter and her family into the new house. Hopefully, everything will get better soon so she can rest. Please keep us informed. Avery belongs to us too and we care for and love her very much.

Thanks Karen, I know you do, that's why I share her with you. We were thinking when she was younger,'what will we do, as she grows and gets heavier?, 'how will we manage?'. Now we think,'Lord just help her digest what she eats,so she can get stronger.'... Thanks for the prayers, we know they help and He is listening..........

I hope Avery will continue to keep it all down Toogie. Glad she is to see the surgeon. Prayers for all concerned. The young are resilient and can handle the stress better than we can (sometimes) lol. Hugs/Lillian

My thoughts, exactly. Grownups need to take their clues from these kids. I guess we are able to see the big picture, whereas they live for the moment and are oblivious to the seriousness. Thanks for the prayers, we know they helped/help.-Toogie

Yes, I am thankful she isn't throwing up anymore, but I would be ecstatic if she could digest what she needed. I do hope this surgery addresses what she needs to take care of her stomach problems.

Keeping them all in my prayers during this stressful time & you too. I am happy to hear that you have figured out to help her keep 4oz down every 4 hours that was good thinking on your part. We are going through something similar with my b-i-l he can't keep things down either so I will mention the 4 oz of the ensure instead of the whole bottle. ~hugs~

Every little bit of good news is a blessing and I know you look on it as such. Great to hear little Avery is doing better. Still have her on the prayer list.

I'm putting that sweet baby on my long term prayer list and will listen to hear from you that all is well and she's back on the mend. It's so hard not being able to take their hurts and burdens over and deal with them ourselves. It would be so much easier for us to deal with than it is to watch these little lambs suffer. I'm glad you are at least getting some nourishment into her.
