I was given a lovely scarf for my birthday but I knew that I would never wear it as it was just far too wide and bulky. I took the bull by the horns and cut it into two. I have left one piece long with it's fringe and the other one I have sew the two ends together and made another kind of scarf. Thrilled with the result. I have told the person who gave it to me :))

Very brave of you Sarah. Its very pretty fabric and you have done well to end up with two scarves. Enjoy wearing both of them but not together. I too love scarves and have a great selection as no doubt you do too

I too love scarves, although never wear them in summer as just far too hot.

Beautiful results! You chose two great styles to have created, they each look very different from each other!

The material was far too nice just to put it in a cupboard and forget about it.

Well done Sarah, I'm like you, I don't like scarves too long. You've done a great alternative here! Love Chris

Chris, it was not the length but the width. I was just worried that it might fray away

Well done. I do not know if I could have done this. It would have turned into a disaster for me. Awesome!

It really was not very difficult. Trying to do a rolled hem along the sides was the worst
