Chambray tunic - the neckline was embroidered and the facing attached in the hoop. The side slits were done with one of the heirloom stitches built into my machine. The colours I used are a bit subtle for me!

I've been fiddling with this design for a couple of days. I wanted to put it on a sweatshirt, but it didn't stitch well on an old t-shirt. So I stitched it on a piece of medium weight calico and made a bag to save wasting my time!

The strip of voile was pleated onto the bottom of the t-shirt after the embroidery. Finally I gathered up the side seam to give a ruched effect. When I wear it, the bottom is stretched a bit and the lower end of the ruched seam is just on my hip bone. Des

More birds as requested. I hope you approve of these two - I looked at hundreds of photographs before I came up with these! Like the British birds, they are stitched on felt and the colour of the felt shows through the "feathers".

A case for a set of crochet hooks, made in the hoop. I couldn't resist the fabric! The elastic is under slight tension so it holds the hooks firmly, but it does distort the shape a little.
