The beginnings of a quilt (I hope!) I've been fiddling with outlines of some of our musical instruments in the hopes of making a quilt. Here are the first few of the designs. I'm concerned that the print fabric is a bit bold in comparison.

"Elizabethan blackwork" biscornu. I stitched the design twice, mattress stitched it together (from the right side. and then stab stitched through all around the flower centres pulling it as tightly as I could.

Bag made ITH. This little bag is made entirely in the hoop. I thought it would be good for a child or as an evening bag in appropriate fabrics. I chose the colours to match the shoelace I used as a handle. (Pack of 4 pairs from the Pound Shop.)

This was my digitising experiment for today. He is almost all made in the hoop. (I had to stitch the panel along his back in place with my sewing machine.)He is about 9cm tall and his tail is a cord twisted from the threads I used for the embroidery.
